Paulo's First Birthday Party!

On June 7th we celebrated the first year of Paulo David's life. Imagine his plight the first year of his life? He is just one of thousands of orphans in Guatemala. International adoptions don't put a dent in the need of this country. It was definitely a day to celebrate the blessing of Paulo with friends!

We hosted the party at our apartment. It was attended by Emily and Samuel Armstrong; Bill, Kyle and Billy Beyer; Billy's friend Blair; Lee Anne and Erick Whitworth; Angie and Milo (Emily and Lee Anne's roommates) Kimberly and Aeson (Emily and Lee Anne's friend who is adopting).

We of course had a birthday cake that Paulo tried on.

So glad you gave into the temptation and "remind" us all about your updated blog... I'm so happy that you got to spend Paulo's birthday with him!!! I'm praying for your family during this difficult wait time.

We were so excited to open your blog after church today. What a story!! We read every word, just as we have with Erick and Samuel. We plan to read about the Huffs and Embrys too. What blessed families on such amazing adventures. We pray for the future of each of these darling boys and their families. Your quotes and blog are inspiring to say the least. But to be honest looking at Paulo's little face is the best inspiration. God is so visible in what you are being led to do and we have been with you as prayer warriors all the way. "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine..." Eph 3:20
Blessings, Joann and KC

As "they" say.... good things come to those who wait! "They" also say that good things come in small packages. Imagine how doubly good it is to wait for a small package!!!

Wow! What a journey and so much further to travel on this road. Your faith is contagious and the music and blog are beautiful. Paulo is a blessing to our family and I'm looking forward to the day when I will hold and touch him. His little personality is charming and adorable in the pictures. I can't imagine him in action.

"Don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time!" (Paulo) Galatians 6:9
